There were gowns aplenty on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 black carpet. But we sifted through piles of photographs and found lots of leg as well. Many celebrities rocked mini dresses, holding their own against the likes of Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser.

Ashley Tisdale wore tight, lacy white and leopard-print booties. Kylie Jenner looked lovely in a nude A-line mini with a cinched waist, while sister Kendall Jenner wore a similar peach version. Cassie Scerbo (whutup, Make It or Break It fans) worked it in a bodycon, red number and Melissa Joan Hart wore the same color, only in a more elegant, ’40s silhouette. We’d also like to give special mention to 12-year-old Kiernan Shipka — a.k.a. Sally on Mad Men — who looked lovely and age appropriate in a black and navy blue bell-skirted frock. The Twilight saga continues as Part 1 of the franchise's final installment hits theaters this Friday, November 18th. But before us regular folks get a chance to see Bella and Edward tie the knot, the stars of the film celebrated Breaking Dawn's premiere in true red carpet fashion.

Disney star Ashley Tisdale showed up to the premiere and looked stunning in a tight white lace number accented with stylish leopard print heels. Her long-sleeved, form-fitting gown turned heads as fans who had been camping out for a week greeted the star with unending applause. If you've been missing Ashley Tisdale since her sis-boom-bah series "Hellcats" was cancelled earlier this year, we've got some news to put the pep back in your step: Ashley is headed back to the small screen!Deadline reports that the 26-year-old has sold a semi-autobiographical sitcom to ABC—in which she'll both star and serve as co-executive producer. Titled "Under Construction," the series follows a young woman (presumably Ashley) who moves back home with her parents while her father renovates her hell-hole of a new house. And we assume very silly adult children/parent shenanigans will follow. (Who wants to bet that someone's going to walk in on someone else having the sex?)

In addition to "Under Construction," Ashley's production company, Blondie Girl Prods., also has an unscripted series titled "Miss Advised" in the works at Bravo.

We're thrilled to see Ashley headed back to TV, and in a comedy no less (girl's got some chops). Our one wish for the ABC series? A hot love interest who's not "Under Construction."

The actress played the loudmouthed character Sharpay Evans in the three hugely successful High School Musical movies, and starred in her own spin-off film - Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure - which she also produced. However, Ashley has played down any fears that she is limited in her acting opportunities.

“I feel like I’ve moved on from HSM,” she told Top of the Pop magazine. “When Disney Channel talked to me about making this movie, I thought, ‘I totally want to do this!' It’s Sharpay’s own movie and she gets a love interest!”

Ashley was thrilled to reprise the character for the TV movie, which sees Sharpay and her pet dog travel to New York to make it big on Broadway. She was particularly thrilled the plotline saw Sharpay enjoy a romance with a new hunk.

“The new guy is an actor called Austin Butler. He’s very cute,” she added. “Kissing scenes can be awkward, but you know what? Nothing was more awkward than kissing Dylan Sprouse in The Suite Life, so anything else is going to be easy.”

“The first time we worked together we weren’t as close as we were now so it’s more fun working on this one. I say that because most of our scenes are together, where before we had almost none together.It’s [a bit] weird now because before I was playing her cousin and now I’m playing her love interest. In the intimate scenes where we’re closer and stuff is where it gets a little awkward, because she’s like my sister. But those are the only things,” Austin tells us.

So what did they do to bond off-set? Workouts! “She would knock on my door at 5AM and drag me down to the hotel gym. We did that everyday, too.”

Ashley filmed many of her scenes with two Yorkshire Terriers, who shared the role of Boi, and insists she developed an appreciation for the dogs – even when they were misbehaving.“The dogs are really cute in the movie. It was fun working with dogs, but you have to have a lot of patience,” she explained in an interview with British television show Daybreak. “They are just animals so they don’t understand that much and these two dogs – it was their first project ever. They were trained, like, a month before but they were so good and so adorable, you can’t help but fall in love with them.”

As the High School Musical star did a little shopping in New York today she was accompanied by 54-year-old Lisa, whose outfit almost exactly mirrored that of her 25-year-old daughter.

Ashley wore a black mini dress with a large gold necklace handcrafted by Miriam Haskell over the top and oversize sunglasses as the mother and daughter enjoyed the designer shops and sunshine.

Her mother was equally stylish in a black leather version of the minidress, which like Ashley she teamed with a statement necklace and aviator sunglasses.

While Ashley stepped out in fierce black ankle boots, her mother stuck to sandals, but ensured they stood out with a leopard print.

Ashley Tisdale Was Happy To Step Back Into 'HSM' Shoes

It seems like forever since we've talked about anything "High School Musical"-oriented around here. Not that we've had reason to, well, except for this. Lucky for us, we have Ashley Tisdale's just-released "HSM" spin-off "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" to discuss, along with a few words from the lady herself.
When I caught up with Ashley recently, I asked her what made her want to step back into Sharpay's often-sparkly shoes, and whether she's missed playing the character.

"After the first ['High School Musical'] movie it was really funny I remember, because we didn't know if we were going to do a second movie, we had no idea what was going to happen with the first movie," she said of Disney's mega-hit.

When I caught up with Ashley recently, I asked her what made her want to step back into "I remember taking her shoes off, I was like, 'I'm really going to miss this character,' I had so much fun," she recalled. "Especially because I was playing a character on 'The Suite Life of Zach and Cody' that was always in uniform and I felt that I got to redeem myself with all the clothes I got to wear."

So what made her want to revisit Sharpay in this fourth, "HSM"-related flick?

"Coming back into it for a fourth time, she is a character I am so lucky to have," Ashley said, adding that the opportunity to play this "larger-than-life" persona was an opportunity given to her, in large part, thanks to fan support.

"I owe it to them that I'm here," she said. "So I felt like coming back for this movie and making sure [Sharpay] had a great ending, there was not even a question about it. I was so into it."

"Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" revolves around fan favorite and forever-spoiled Sharpay and her pie-in-the-sky dream of moving to New York City to star in a Broadway show. Unfortunately for Sharpay, when she makes the move her dog lands the onstage gig, and Sharpay is faced with the very new dilemma of not having things handed to her, so she has to work to prove herself. It is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

“What Ashley failed to mention was that she would always laugh during my most serious scene,” Alec disclosed. “Without giving too much away, there’s a scene where I become very upset with her character, Sharpay, and I kind of had to get in her face. When you watch the movie, just know that before, during and after that very grave moment was shot, we had all been working for about 11 hours already and were pretty punch drunk and giggly. As soon as they yelled cut, we would all burst out laughing.”

Born in San Francisco, California, the 45-year-old actor revealed to us what attracted him to the role. “I was brought into the project by the director Michael Lembeck,” he said. “We had previously worked together on a film called ‘Connie and Carla’ and it had been such a fun experience. I would’ve jumped at any opportunity to work with him again. This movie and role held that opportunity. I jumped.”

Alec shared with us how it was working with Ashley who was wearing two hats for this project – as an actress and as an executive producer. “I always knew that Ashley was talented, but I wasn’t aware of how very hard she works,” Alec pointed out. “She was an absolute professional and always had a very positive attitude, which is important because the lead actor always sets the tone for the entire set.”

Misadventures of Sharpay

Portraying her perky Yorkshire terrier, Boi, are two newcomer dogs who were trained for the role — newbies Howie and Herbie. “They are a lot of fun and they are really great," Ashley said. “They are brand new. They have not done a movie before. It’s definitely harder to work with them because they are very rambunctious. But they were fun!"

For this television movie, Ashley also wears “two hats" — as an actor and as an executive producer.

“It was really challenging to be wearing two hats," she admitted. “It was a big learning experience for me. In 2008, I put up my own production company, Blondie Girl Productions, and I have been developing TV series, reality series, and movies."

“It is so crazy because as the lead actor, you have to be in the moment. As an executive producer, you have to step out of the moment. As an actress, I wear my diva hat. Then as an executive producer, I wear by big decisions hat," Ashley continued.

The actress, who played devious fame-hungry schoolgirl Sharpay in the HSM movies, was talking on Lopez Tonight when she recalled an incident in France in which she and her co-stars were leaving a talk show.

"We were in two cars - Zac [Efron] and Corbin [Bleu] and me and Vanessa. We were coming out of the parking structure and all these fans were waving," Ash revealed."I wanted to wave and say thanks for coming. Vanessa was like, 'Don't turn down that window!' I started turning it down and she was like, 'Oh no! Don't do that!' The window went all the way down - I thought it had a stopper but it went all the way down!" she exclaimed.

"Everybody's arms went into the car, posters were being thrown in..."

And it wasn't just herself and Vanessa Ashley had concerns for - she was worried for the fans because the car was still moving! "I was like, 'Oh my gosh! I don't want them to get hurt! I'll never do that again!'" She added.

It's no secret Ashley Tisdale's "Hellcats" character, Savannah, is a bit of a goody-goody rule follower. She's cheered her way in to our living rooms every week with her obsessive compulsive planning and team spirit while desperately trying to hold onto a guy she really just can't get a good grip on. When Hollywood Crush talked to Ashley over the weekend, she told us those needy ways are going to change when new episodes kick off tomorrow night.

We were left hanging in December when Savannah's boyfriend Dan (Matt Barr) broke up with her and took off in his pick-up truck after hooking up with her roommate and BFF, Marti (Aly Michalka). Savannah was devastated, but Ashley said she won't be looking back.
"Dan leaves for a little bit so we don't even know what's going to happen with him," Ashley told Hollywood Crush. "I think for Savannah she still has strong feelings for him. He did betray her and all this stuff happened so she is kind of torn about what happened, but she has to focus on her team and the Hellcats. Obviously there's a question of when he comes back, if he comes back, what's going to happen."

While we wait for Dan to ramble back into town and pull at old heartstrings, Savannah will be busy shedding her good girl ways and asserting herself among her teammates who have a knack for using her as a doormat.

"She's coming into her own. It's funny because to her family, she isn't a good girl, but she definitely is compared to the rest of the squad," Ashley said. "I think she's going to be stronger and be more of a woman. She's a young girl when she starts off at Lancer, but I think she's becoming more grown up and standing up for herself. She's a little more complicated."

The first time we met the always swoon-worthy Matt Barr, we asked him if he'd ever join his "Hellcats" co-stars in their big, choreographed dance and cheer numbers. "I hope not!" he laughed. He may have had good reason for that comment.

In tonight's (Nov. 17) episode, Barr's character Dan Patch gets the chance to show off his dancing skills in Marti's (Aly Michalka) dream sequence, performing what he refers to as "a '50s mambo" with Michalka and co-star Ashley Tisdale. On screen, the moves go off without a hitch.

Off screen... not so much. "It wasn't without incident," Barr tells Zap2it. "I almost broke Ashley's nose during one scene. We had to go to the ER and she had to have a specialist look at it. For real! She was bleeding and everything. The consensus is, we're never letting Matt Barr dance anymore. "

Tisdale took the injury well and didn't blame Barr for his two left feet. "I don't know if I pulled it off or not, but I worked pretty hard on it," Barr says. "We were directed by Debbie Allen, so the stuff looks great, anyway."

Marti's perfectly choreographed dream is spurred by the increasingly awkward love-square situation developing between her, Dan, Savannah, and Lewis. Last week's episode, in which Dan and Marti finally acted on long-buried feelings despite being involved with other people, threw us for a loop. The best love triangles are the ones where you can't choose a side, so we're pretty impressed that we still can't decide whether Dan would be better off with Marti or Savannah.

'I am constantly working out with my trainer. I’m on a more healthy diet.

'I have a cheat day, though. It’s a very healthy way of living, I must say. It’s a lot of fun.'

And she admits that carbs are her weakness when it comes to indulging in a treat.

Ashley Tisdale was determined to prove there’s life after high school – and “High School Musical.”

When casting directors approached her with possible series, she focused on “Hellcats,” a drama about a college cheering squad.

“It was the best choice for me,” she says “It was a drama. It didn’t involve singing and (the character) wasn’t like Sharpay.”It wasn’t, though, a slam-dunk.

Because she was so identified with “High School Musical” and its singing/dancing diva, producers didn’t think she could play another role.

“I had to fight for this,” she says of “Hellcats.” “But I also had to fight for ‘High School'Musical.’”

To prove herself, Tisdale flew to Vancouver (where the new drama is filmed) and auditioned. The show’s producers liked what they saw and hired her to play the head cheerleader – the Southern belle who can’t understand a newcomer’s academic motivation for joining the squad.

"I've actually just sold my first movie to ABC Family," Ashley told the site, "which I'm not in, and it's really exciting, because it's hard." Stressing she won't take a role in the film, the 25-year-old shared, "When I do production meetings, they always ask if I'm going to be in it. For this one, I told them 'no, I don't want to be in it I just want to produce something'."

The "Crank it Up" singer further explained the reason why she did not want to star in the film. "Everybody who wants to buy something from my brand usually wants me in it and I really want to establish my production company being separate," she said. "I just want to do something, have ideas and come up with you know reality shows and this movie that we've just sold to ABC Family I'm really excited about."

On her acting career, Ashley has joined Alyson Michalka on new TV series "Hellcats". In The CW's series, she takes on the role of the Hellcats' captain named Savannah Monroe.
